The Warrior and the Healer

The Warrior and Healer are often viewed as contrasting archetypes; this workshop will take a new look at these archetypes and how they relate to pagan men. We'll discuss how the Warrior and Healer archetypes relate to societal messages about masculinity and our journey through pagan spirituality; exploring an alternative creation mythos highlighting male mysteries in order to shed light on who we are as pagan/spiritual workers - in order to see ourselves, shift our perspective, and connect to the authentic self within. This workshop is open to ALL - men, women, trans, and everyone.

Healing the Core Wounds of Humanity

The theme of P-Con 2016 "Change Makers" is a sounding call to all of us to step up and assume the mantle of "an agent of change". But, to be this, we must first be "the agent that was changed". To be a healthy and clear force for positive change, we are challenged to inventory the "dust-bunnies in our soul"....shadowy forces within us that sabotage our success and cloud our visions. In this workshop, Orion will share the "Four Dampers on the Soul's Flame" as qualities of the core wounds in the human spirit. Then, he will lead us in visionary work, moving prayer and simple ritual to bring them out of darkness and transmute them into informed faith, empowered compassion and consecrated power.

Magic and witchery are one of the fastest growing religious/spiritual practices with books and classes offered worldwide. Often not found is a foundational practice vital to working the craft. We will look at the deep mystery of calling up one’s own spirit, what is our spirit, and why this is vital to all magic work; including the dampers on the spirit, how these create false masks that deceive others/ourselves, learning diagnostic tools to recognize these imbalances and how to realign. Flight to the Witch's Sabbath: The Magical Lineage that Unites Us

Orion was taught that there are two primary meeting points where the witch, the magical power and the lineage of wisdom meet: a) the witch's sabbat (specific seasonal tides) and the sabbath (a luminary internal lineage of wisdom and power). This Sabbath is an inner state-of-being where the witch is taught by otherworldly beings to renew their power be one with the "sorcerous-tide". Though traditionally connected to witches, it is also a place for all who seek the wild ways of natural magic. Orion will share lore, traditionally imagery and flight chants to take us beyond the hedge to an eternal source of magic and it is a unifying power.
