Becoming the Goddess: An Empowerment Workshop
The Western concept of power is one of straight lines and rigidity, which can increase our stress levels and make us brittle. By finding the power in flexibility and flow, we find that we can dance with the challenges in our lives, rather than being overcome by them. While this workshop focuses on Goddess archetypes, it is open to all gender identifications, because we could all use a little more flexible power in our lives. Drawing on Abrahamic and Goddess traditions, we will be creating a personal affirmation of empowerment that has helped many people.

Intro to La Santa Muerte: the Macabre Magic of Death & Mortality
With the aesthetic of a female grim reaper, La Santa Muerte is the patron saint of sinners, death, prostitutes, the LGBT community, and social outcasts. To some, she is the sensational symbol of drug cartels, assassins, and border violence. To others, she is a dark refuge of equality, self-acceptance, and personal empowerment. Regardless, the death devotional community of La Santa Muerte is becoming one of the fastest growing underground occult movements in the U.S. and Latin America. So, come explore the clandestine Latino mysticism of this feminine Spirit of Death and discover the macabre magic of your own mortality.

The Dark Side of Druidry
Where you find Celts in battle you will usually find Druids as well. Not as sword-swinging combatants, but as magical and inspirational supporters. There’s a dark side to Druidry, a side many modern Druids prefer to ignore in their practices and actively deny to the non-Pagan world. The dark side of Druidry is scary and it carries more responsibility than many of us prefer to accept. But it’s as much a part of our heritage as plant lore and poetry. Healing the Wound of Abraham: Thelema as Spiritual Medicine
The Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) diverged from the mainstream of human experience by embracing the concept of duality. The universe was split in two, and half was rejected. By this act, half of ourselves also was cut away, and the wound of duality was inflicted upon our psyches. This damage is not easily healed. Ms. Tsu will argue that Thelema is a powerful antidote to the wound of Abraham. By working directly with the Abrahamic symbols and archetypes, but in a framework of dynamic balance and harmony, Thelema brings medicine to the roots of this ancient wound.

Familiar's Death: Celebrating Fur, Feather, & Scale
Americans love their pets but many Pagans have a deeper connection with certain animals that we often call “familiars”. The death of any fur/feather/scale friend is difficult, but losing a familiar is doubly difficult. Charming the Tarot: Casting Charms with the Tarot for Divination
Sometimes when we deal out the cards, it takes us a little time to figure out what they’re trying to say. With so many potential meanings available to us for each card, especially if we read reversals, it can be challenging to know which meaning is intended at which particular draw. This class will teach you to use charms with your cards to help narrow things down a bit, giving direction and some clarity and maybe even a new way of seeing the cards. If you have charms, please bring them with you to the class. But never fear if you don’t. Little everyday items will be provided that you can use.

Ancient Egyptian Divination for Today
Egypt had specific methods for communicating with the gods in order to solicit divine guidance for a whole range of human affairs. We will explore the formal oracular procedures as preserved in contemporary accounts and on papyrus. We will also describe the uniquely Egyptian form of dream incubation, necromancy (consulting the transfigured spirits of the dead), lamp divination (lychnomancy), and bowl divination (lekanomancy). We will spend half our session with practical exercises used today to revive these ancient practices for those of us following the Kemetic Reconstructionist path.

Healing the Core Wounds of Humanity
The theme of P-Con 2016 "Change Makers" is a sounding call to all of us to step up and assume the mantle of "an agent of change". But, to be this, we must first be "the agent that was changed". To be a healthy and clear force for positive change, we are challenged to inventory the "dust-bunnies in our soul"....shadowy forces within us that sabotage our success and cloud our visions. In this workshop, Orion will share the "Four Dampers on the Soul's Flame" as qualities of the core wounds in the human spirit. Then, he will lead us in visionary work, moving prayer and simple ritual to bring them out of darkness and transmute them into informed faith, empowered compassion and consecrated power.

Exorcism in the Ancient World
The existence of spirits was probably universally accepted throughout the ancient world. These spirits populated the heavens, underworld, and earth. Some were good and others, evil. Consequently, religious and spiritual techniques were developed to protect against the influence of evil spirits. Egyptians and Babylonians believed that various diseases and misfortunes were caused by evil spirits necessitating banishing through amulets and incantations. “Possession” refers to evil spirits entering into a person and would often require an exorcism – a ceremony for driving out those spirits by appealing to higher powers.

Seeking The Seer's Vision
Esoteric tradition often teaches there is a “plan” or “vision” unfolding for the world, and the role of magickal adepts is to help manifest that vision in freedom and love for all. Various seers, bards, prophets, psychics, oracles and artists experience and transmits parts of the vision, adding to the unfolding tapestry to inspire action. We look to the ancient oracles and vision holders from the Sybils and Pythia to Merlin the Prophet. In this vision working, we seek our own vision of the Great Work to share. We will look at the deep mystery of calling up one’s own spirit, what is our spirit, and why this is vital to all magic work; including the dampers on the spirit, how these create false masks that deceive others/ourselves, learning diagnostic tools to recognize these imbalances and how to realign. Pulling Spirit is a powerful practice and the basis by which all other magic work is formed.

Weaving the cloth of Reality: Word and Sound in Egyptian Ritual
Egyptian rituals use the sounds of words, along with their meanings, to connect to mythic themes and tie the ritual utterances together into effective tools. The goal is to please the Gods, re-energize Them, and sustain creation itself each day. We will explore sound and how it can deepen our modern understanding and practice of Egyptian ritual by looking at current progress in reconstructing the pronunciation of Egyptian, analyze the layers of meaning in some simple ritual texts, and then pronounce them.

The forces of life and the whims of humanity can stretch, lacerate, block and delude us. We can find ourselves being everyone but ourselves. How do we declare sovereign authority over our own inner spirit? After all "theres only 2 things every witch must know, don't tangle up your lines or contaminate your flow". Flight to the Witch's Sabbath: The Magical Lineage that Unites Us
Orion was taught that there are two primary meeting points where the witch, the magical power and the lineage of wisdom meet: a) the witch's sabbat (specific seasonal tides) and the sabbath (a luminary internal lineage of wisdom and power). This Sabbath is an inner state-of-being where the witch is taught by otherworldly beings to renew their power be one with the "sorcerous-tide". Though traditionally connected to witches, it is also a place for all who seek the wild ways of natural magic. Orion will share lore, traditionally imagery and flight chants to take us beyond the hedge to an eternal source of magic and it is a unifying power.

The Lehi Key - Mormon Mysticism
After the Age of Enlightenment, a book emerged in New England containing the vision of an ancient mystic named Lehi. 1830 years after Lehi's death, in 1260 AD, a gothic cathedral was built in Chartres, France. Stonemasons built a labyrinth pattern into the floor work encoded with symbolism. Author Kelly Child explores the symbolism and traditions of ancient Egyptians, Hebrews, alchemists, medieval Christianity, scientists and the great minds of the Age of Enlightenment that at last distilled upon the early 1800's New England as Mormon Mysticism.

Children's Ritual and Circle
Calling all children - it's circle time! Time to dance and sing! Time to have a blast doing ritual that's all about you kids! After running South Bay Pagan Kids for the past few years, Taffy Dugan has crafted through trial and error (a lot of error as her Witchlets like to remind her), a fun and captivating ritual that you and your families will thoroughly enjoy. While it's run in an eclectic Wiccan way, there are elements that many Pagan families can take away and use in their home rituals. Please bring your parents.

Managing Psychic Sensitivity
Many Pagan and spiritual people work to increase their psychic sensitivity and their empathy. There are many benefits to having increased sensitivity, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Becoming inundated and overwhelmed by other people’s emotions and highly charged atmosphere can be problematic. This workshop will offer straightforward techniques to manage your sensitivity so that it remains a benefit rather than becoming a detriment. Moreover, a technique will be shared to harness the excess energy so that it can be used, not just abated.
