Mythology is an integral part of our belief systems. Over the years, however, these ancient tales have been transformed and added to in order to make them more palatable to modern audiences. Many Pagans of today had their first experiences with Paganism in their reading of "The Mists of Avalon" or watching the British "Robin of Sherwood". How has the modern reinterpretation of mythology changed the Pagan community, and is it a change for the good?

A. in English 1971 from San Fernando Valley State College (now California State University, Northridge), author of 2 Pagan oriented fantasy series (The Glastonbury Chronicles and Tales of the Gearg-Sidhe) published by Pendraig Publishing and one stand-alone novel "Raven's Daughter". Ms. Hendrick delights in bringing old mythology into the modern age.

Tony Mierzwicki is the author of "Graeco-Egyptian Magick: Everyday Empowerment" and a forthcoming primer reconstructing Classical Greek religion, "Hellenismos: Practicing Greek Polytheism Today". He has contributed to anthologies and magazines.
